Hey - I’m Lorna Lyons & I’m delighted you found me! I spent over a decade as a teacher… a career I loved in many ways. The work was meaningful, and yes, I had those coveted summer holidays.
But here's what I realized as I approached 40: I didn't want to spend my life waiting for school holidays.
I had three children. I was missing the everyday moments—the calm mornings, the spontaneous afternoons, the ability to just be with them without counting down to the next break.
And when I looked ahead, I saw another 20+ years of the same. Maybe more.
So I made a different choice.
After my third child, I went back to university and earned a first-class Master's in Applied Psychology. Then I started building an online business as a side hustle - testing, learning, figuring it out while still teaching full-time.
That side hustle grew into an international female founders network, multiple online courses, coaching programs and live events. Eventually, it replaced my teaching income entirely.
Now I work in a way that doesn't make me want to "take a break."
I have flexibility in my days. I'm my children's full-time caregiver. I experience those calm mornings I craved. And I'm building something that fulfills me financially and purposefully.
