Hey - I’m Lorna Lyons & I’m delighted you found me! I spent over a decade as a teacher… a career I loved in many ways. The work was meaningful, and yes, I had those coveted summer holidays.
But here's what I realized as I approached 40: I didn't want to spend my life waiting for school holidays.
I had three children. I was missing the everyday moments: the calm mornings, the spontaneous afternoons, the ability to just be with them without counting down to the next break.
And when I looked ahead, I saw another 20+ years of the same. Maybe more.
So I made a different choice.
After my third child, I went back to university and earned a first-class Master's in Applied Psychology. Then I started building an online business as a side hustle - testing, learning, figuring it out while still teaching full-time.
That side hustle grew into an international female founder membership, multiple online courses, coaching programs and live events. Eventually, it replaced my teaching income entirely.
My business has allowed me to become a podcast host, an event host and most recently a published author! I am so grateful that I chose to follow my own unique life by design, rather than follow a typical life by default - and I love to support other women on a similar pathway.
